This hotel gives you amazing italian experience - perfect combination of everything. Good food, amazing views, giant pool, access to private beach with very clear water… just perfect. We usually don’t repeat trips but this one we already said, that we will! 🤍
Location is great with a wonderful pool (2 diving boards), crystal clear sea access from the hotel and privacy. It never felt crowded. We were surprised with a room upgrade on arrival - always a nice start! But for me, it was breakfast. I'm not into volcanoes, but I do like baked goods. The array of pastries, cakes, donuts and sweet breads/biscuits was eye candy for the soul. All light enough to need tethers. So special thanks to the kitchen staff.
My husband arrived and I left within a few hours, just as soon as we could get a ticket for the ferry.
Where to begin? The hotel has not been touched since the 1960s. The lower floor is boarded up and abandoned. The pool
Is filthy. Time warped within the 1960s.
We felt as if we were in the twilight zone. The staff ignored us and was indifferent as to whether you existed or not.
The sandwiches were nauseating. The seagull helped himself to my sandwich. The hotel has such an eerie presence. It feels like an abandoned building. It is filthy. The clients are weird. The hotel clerk could care less whether we left. Her concern was whether we paid for lunch.
The one and only thing in its favor. The view. Better served to stay in Cefalu for the same. Do not make the same mistake we did.
Hotel is DATED, it was built in the 60’s and it looks it. Does not appear as though much had been updated what so ever. Telatively depressed situation which certainly includes the staff, or lack there of! We checked out approximately 3 hours after checking in and they didn’t even ask why? It is under staffed and the staff that is there are indifferent and inattentive! The location is outstanding and view’s phenomenal. But again, we went down many steps to their beach, some steps in disrepair and challenging/ dangerous, Chaise lounges at their neglected beach front were filthy and almost inoperable. This location has potential but needs a major upgrading and facelift! Hard to understand how this was rated a 4 star hotel!
This place is simply marvelous! You can just dive into the water right below the hotel, and instantly see colorful and exotic fish.
The friendly staff helped us with everything we asked.
Definitely worth a stay!
Excellent and lovely place with all facilities you need to enjoy your vacation. The hotel rooms are nice, there is a big restaurant and a great pool. Food is amazing. You can reach a small beach with bright crystalline water and do snorkeling. Personnel is professional and friendly. I recommend it.
Hotel Carasco met all of my expectations.
Pros:
Friendly Staff.
Easy check in.
Pool is massive.
Hotel is beautiful.
Overlooks the port and docks.
Close to main shopping and restaurants.
Free shuttle to city center.
Great view from balcony.
Cons:
Rooms need updating.
Bed mattress is box springs and uncomfortable.
Ants coming in from patio area.
Restaurant on site is mostly seafood.
Mini fridge did not get cold.
I highly recommend this hotel if you want a higher level and relaxing holiday. This will be where we stay on future Holidays to Lipari.
